Exercise intervention on serum insulin-like growth factor-1 in elderly patients with sarcopenia and frailty

Senile sarcopenia and frailty are important public health issues in an aging society, characterized by decreased muscle mass, strength, and function, closely related to decreased serum IGF-1 levels. IGF-1, as a key regulatory factor in muscle synthesis metabolism, may improve muscle function when its level is elevated. Current research suggests that exercise intervention can regulate IGF-1, but the results are highly heterogeneous and lack systematic evaluation. This study integrates evidence through meta-analysis to provide reference for optimizing exercise prescriptions.
老年肌少症(sarcopenia)与衰弱(frailty)是老龄化社会中的重要公共卫生问题,该类病症以肌肉质量、力量及功能下降为核心特征,与血清胰岛素样生长因子-1(IGF-1)水平降低密切相关。胰岛素样生长因子-1作为肌肉合成代谢的关键调控因子,当其水平升高时可有效改善肌肉功能。现有研究显示,运动干预可对IGF-1水平进行调控,但相关研究结果异质性极强,且缺乏系统性评估。本研究通过荟萃分析整合现有证据,为优化运动处方提供参考依据。
