These three datasets were used to create a clear plant-invertebrate interaction network for Marion Island, between 11 plant species and the observed invertebrate species. This was done through both invertebrate visitation to plant species but also via including pollen data (obtained from the invertebrate specimens; using scanning electron microscopy). Additionally, environmental data was collected during 10-minute plant observations, which was then used to study the effect of these environmental variables (e.g., precipitation) on invertebrate abundance and richness on the 11 focal plant species (over two consecutive flowering seasons).
