Ecological and economic outcomes of mangrove restoration: a meta-analysis approach

This dataset is used to conduct a comprehensive meta-analysis of the peer-reviewed literature on mangrove restoration to estimate its outcomes across different functions and economic costs/benefits. The peer-reviewed literature were firstly searched through ISI Web of Science Core Collection and Elsevier Scopus using generic wording for restoration impact without restriction on publication year on 22 December 2019. The second search was conducted using a refined keywords of 26 identified ecosystem function categories on 30 June 2020. In total, we identified 395 cases from 188 quantitative studies focusing on the outcomes of mangrove restoration on different functions, as well as economic costs and benefits of mangrove restoration. 962 observations from 88 studies covered 21 types of functions met the criteria to perform meta-analyses. We also extracted 30 cases spanning ten types of economic benefits and 68 cases spanning six types of restoration costs to conduct benefit-cost analysis.本数据集用于针对红树林恢复领域的同行评议文献（peer-reviewed literature）开展全面的元分析（meta-analysis），以估算其在不同功能维度及经济成本与收益层面的恢复效果。2019年12月22日，研究团队首先通过ISI Web of Science核心合集（ISI Web of Science Core Collection）与爱思唯尔Scopus数据库，使用通用的恢复影响检索词开展文献检索，未限制发表年份。2020年6月30日，研究团队采用基于26类已识别生态系统功能的优化检索关键词进行二次检索。最终，我们从188项定量研究中筛选出395个案例，聚焦红树林恢复的不同功能效果，以及红树林恢复的经济成本与收益。其中，来自88项研究的962条观测数据涵盖21类功能，符合元分析的纳入标准。此外，我们还提取了涵盖10类经济收益的30个案例，以及涵盖6类恢复成本的68个案例，用于开展效益成本分析。
