In instances of technical failure, pain relief was significantly less than the values reported above.§§Adverse events (AEs) only occurred in the first year after primary or revision TKA.***These values represent the range of failure rates used in the Primary Analysis (20–70% reductions in failure for innovative compared to standard implants). Standard implants had long-term failure rates as high as 5.44% in the sensitivity analysis exploring the impact of higher long-term failure in healthy 50–59-year-olds, producing a failure rate of 4.35% for an innovative implant offering a 20% decrease in long-term failure.†††The implant cost is included in the total first-year cost of TKA.
