This is sequencing data representing fungal communities from a pine savanna system at Tall Timbers Research Station. Samples are from either soils or litter and in patches with cominations of either burned or unburned and under or away from canopy pines. The fungal data is from the ITS2 region. The goal of the project is to understand how fires shift fungal communities in soil and litter, whether particular fungi are adapted to fire, and, combined with other field measurements, whether differences in function of these fungi might alter the probability and characteristics of future fire.

本数据集为来自塔尔蒂默斯研究站(Tall Timbers Research Station)的松稀树草原生态系统的真菌群落测序数据。样本分别采集自土壤或枯落物,且涵盖火烧、未火烧两种火烧状态,以及冠层松树下方、远离冠层松树两种生境位置的组合生境。真菌测序的扩增区域为ITS2区域。本研究的目标为:阐明火烧如何改变土壤与枯落物中的真菌群落结构,明确是否存在适应火烧环境的特异性真菌类群;结合其他野外实测数据,进一步探究这些真菌的功能差异是否会改变未来火灾的发生概率及火灾行为特征。
