Marine Regions is a standardized list database of marine georeferenced place names and regions. This database integrates and provides geographic information from the VLIMAR gazetteer and the MARBOUND database, and establishes standards for georeferenced marine locations, boundaries and regions. The database contains 64,646 marine georeferenced locations, 79,609 marine place names, and 39,974 geographic regional polygons.
