Christ in the prison

Alexander Bourganov (born 1935) is a Russian sculptor, a National Artist of Russia, and a member of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts. His art is generally abstract and often uses fragments of human or animal bodies (especially horses) to build a bigger picture. This piece represents broken Jesus sat in the prison before his crucifixion.亚历山大·布尔加诺夫（Alexander Bourganov）生于1935年，是俄罗斯雕塑家、俄罗斯人民艺术家，同时为俄罗斯美术学院（Russian Academy of Fine Arts）院士。其艺术创作多采用抽象风格，常以人类与动物躯体（尤以马匹为典型）的碎片化元素构建完整的艺术图景。本件作品刻画了耶稣受难前囚于狱中的破损形象。
