Forcing and boundary-condition data used by the Stardust Labs climlab-based climate model and its 2-D stratospheric-aerosol transport extension. A versioned, expanding database — every release is permanent, so each study reproduces against its exact inputs. v0.1.0 provides the inputs for Lederer et al. (2026), "Solid-particle stratospheric aerosol injection: a 2-D modeling exploration of the design space." Eleven files: six ERA5 zonal-mean monthly fields (T & q, cloud cover, cloud water, ozone, surface params, surface SW balance); two transport drivers (TEM residual circulation + eddy diffusivity from ERA5; zonal-mean tropopause climatology); three RRTMG-banded aerosol optical-property tables (silica, sulfate (75% H₂SO₄), calcite).Every file carries a SHA-256 in deposit_manifest.json, verified on download. Generators are openly available in the stardust-2d-inputs (https://github.com/stardust-initiative/stardust-2d-inputs) repository. This dataset contains modified Copernicus Climate Change Service information (ERA5, 2008–2018). Neither the European Commission nor ECMWF is responsible for any use that may be made of the Copernicus information or data it contains. Licensed CC-BY-4.0.
