Characterization of bacterial pathogens from buffalo mastitis in Bangladesh
This project provides a comprehensive characterization of bacterial pathogens isolated from buffalo milk in Bangladesh, sourced from animals with both clinical and subclinical mastitis. We employed a multi-faceted approach, starting with phenotypic analysis including culture, biochemical tests, and antibiograms. For precise identification, molecular techniques such as PCR and 16S rRNA gene sequencing were utilized. Finally, whole-genome sequencing of key isolates offers deep genomic insights into their virulence factors and antimicrobial resistance genes. This dataset is vital for developing effective control strategies and monitoring antibiotic resistance in the region's dairy industry.
