Financial stability is one of the fundamental conditions for the sustainable development and competitiveness of enterprises in the modern economy. Effective accounting and auditing systems play a crucial role in ensuring financial stability by providing reliable financial information, supporting managerial decision-making, and strengthening internal control mechanisms. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of accounting and auditing in maintaining the financial stability of enterprises and to identify the major benefits and challenges associated with their implementation. The research employs comparative analysis and a review of scientific literature and international reports. The findings indicate that high-quality accounting information and effective auditing practices contribute to improving financial performance, increasing transparency, reducing financial risks, and strengthening investor confidence. However, the effectiveness of accounting and auditing systems depends on professional competencies, technological infrastructure, and compliance with international standards. The study concludes that accounting and auditing are essential instruments for ensuring the long-term financial stability and sustainable development of enterprises.
