De novo transcriptome assembly of a lipoxygenase knock-down strain in the diatom Pseudo-nitzschia arenysensis

We generated knock-down mutants for the LOX gene of the diatom Pseudo-nitzschia arenysensis to alter the synthesis of oxylipins and functionally investigate the mechanism of action of these metabolites in diatoms. Here, we present the functional classification of the transcript sequences obtained from the de novo assembly of RNA-seq data obtained both from the silenced and wild-type P. arenysensis strains.我们针对硅藻艾雷尼拟菱形藻（Pseudo-nitzschia arenysensis）的LOX基因构建了基因敲低突变体，以改变其氧脂素的合成，并在硅藻中功能探究这类代谢物的作用机制。本研究呈现了从沉默型与野生型艾雷尼拟菱形藻菌株的RNA测序（RNA-seq）数据从头组装（de novo assembly）得到的转录本序列的功能分类结果。
