The Transcriptome of Primordial Germ Cells of Anser anser domesticus

Mitotically active reproductive germ cells, primordial germ cells, are an ideal cell for storing genetic material from avian species. Their low number in the embryo, however, renders the development of cryopreservation and transmission methodologies difficult. Here, we develop an in vitro culture medium for PGCs from two goose breeds of Anser anser domesticus.有丝分裂活跃的生殖系细胞——原始生殖细胞（primordial germ cells，PGCs），是储存鸟类物种遗传物质的理想细胞材料。然而，该类细胞在胚胎中数量稀少，致使冷冻保存技术与种质传递方法的开发颇具难度。本研究针对灰雁驯化家鹅（Anser anser domesticus）的两个品种，开发了适用于其原始生殖细胞的体外培养基。
