This dataset contains phenotypic data for apple progenies originating from six European breeding programs. A total of 1018 progenies from 23 biparental combinations were phenotyped for at least one trait. Five traits, fruit over-color, fruit acidity, fruit crispness, fruit juiciness and harvest date, are made available in this dataset. The data were obtained between 2003 and 2005 during the HiDRAS (Hi) project. More details about the phenotyping procedure can be found in Kouassi et al. (2009) and Muranty et al. (2015). This dataset was used in the paper by Cazenave et al. (2021) "Combining genetic resources and elite material populations to improve the accuracy of genomic prediction in apple".
