CaRe-T1D collects tissues from relevant donor groups, processes these tissues for biobanking, and distributes the samples to approved investigators who seek to determine the mechanisms by which type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes promote cardiovascular disease development. One of our goals is fostering collaboration amongst these investigators to identify therapies to treat and ultimately prevent the cardiovascular complications associated with diabetes.
