Adjuvant Chemotherapy In Elderly With Colon Cancer Stage III

This is a phase 2, randomized study where the aim of the study is to investigate the tolerance of adjuvant chemotherapy, measured by functional decline, after surgery for colon cancer stage III in elderly patients. Secondary aims are disease-free survival, toxicity, late functional outcome, quality of life, to establish a geriatric assessment for selection of patients, and to examine the prognostic value of gene signature tests / biomarkers for stage III colon cancer.本研究为一项II期随机对照试验，核心研究目的为评估老年III期结肠癌患者术后辅助化疗（adjuvant chemotherapy）的耐受性，该耐受性以功能衰退（functional decline）作为量化评价标准。次要研究终点涵盖无病生存期（disease-free survival）、治疗毒性、远期功能结局与生活质量；同时本研究拟建立用于患者筛选的老年评估（geriatric assessment）体系，并探究基因特征检测（gene signature tests）/生物标志物（biomarkers）在III期结肠癌中的预后价值。
