Abstract: The data presented here include high precision Sr and Nd isotopic analyses on individual magmatic clinopyroxenes measured by thermal ionization mass spectrometry. Major and trace element concentrations have also been measured on each cpx crystal. The magmatic clinopyroxene grains derive from a single, geochemically enriched (high 87Sr/86Sr) lava from Savai'i Island, western Samoa exhibiting the enriched mantle 2 signature. Clinopyroxenes show extreme variability in 87Sr/86Sr overlapping a significant portion of the variability observed in all Samoan shield lavas and global ocean island basalts.
