We evaluated the responses of the organic layer and mineral soil microbial communities 12 to 20 months after three biomass boiler ashes were applied at different application rates to two managed forested ecosystems: a boreal softwood forest with a clear-cutting silvicultural system and a temperate hardwood forest with a partial-harvest silvicultural system.我们针对两种人工经营森林生态系统（managed forested ecosystems）展开研究：其一为采用皆伐营林系统（clear-cutting silvicultural system）的寒带针叶林（boreal softwood forest），其二为采用择伐营林系统（partial-harvest silvicultural system）的温带阔叶林（temperate hardwood forest）；在以不同施用量（application rates）向这两种林分施加三种生物质锅炉灰（biomass boiler ashes）后，于12至20个月时，对其有机层（organic layer）与矿质土壤（mineral soil）的微生物群落（microbial communities）响应情况进行了评估。
