Orange Wetland Enhancement and Endangered Ecological Community Restoration

Undertake natural resource enhancements at two key community sites.
Site 1 is at Ploughman's Wetland, corner of Cargo and Ploughman's Lane. At this site participants will be involved in the construction of a raised boardwalk over the Grassy Meadow.
Site 2 is at Gosling Creek Reserve Precinct. At this site, participants will undertake restoration of an Endangered Ecological Vegetation Community, including Tablelands Snow Gum, Ribbon Gum and Candlebark. Activities will include woody weed control, propagation and planting. At Site 2, participants will also be involved in the preservation of two Eucalyptus species listed as vulnerable on the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 - including Eucalyptus aggregata and Eucalyptus canobolensis. The low number of species found within the Gosling Creek Precinct will be supplemented.
