1st Planetary Health Symposium, Brunel University London, 6th June 2017 (presentations)

Brunel University London's Environment and Health Theme, part of the Institute of Environment, Health and Societies, hosted the UK’s 1st Symposium on Planetary Health on Tuesday June 6 2017. The Symposium brought about 180 participants to Brunel, and had, as its main aim, to introduce this new trans-disciplinary field to staff and students, as well as external visitors. Planetary health, a term coined by the Rockefeller Foundation/Lancet Commission in 2015, recognizes that the health of humanity depends on ensuring the health and resilience of our planet. 伦敦布鲁内尔大学（Brunel University London）环境与健康主题研究组，隶属于环境、健康与社会研究所（Institute of Environment, Health and Societies），于2017年6月6日星期二举办了英国首届行星健康（Planetary Health）研讨会。本次研讨会吸引约180名参会者齐聚布鲁内尔大学，其核心宗旨为向校内师生及外部访客介绍这一新兴跨学科领域。行星健康这一术语由洛克菲勒基金会（Rockefeller Foundation）与《柳叶刀》委员会（Lancet Commission）于2015年提出，该概念明确指出，人类的健康福祉有赖于保障地球生态系统的健康与韧性，环境健康与人类健康密不可分。
