The Knowledge Management Processes at Different Stages of Group Development

ABSTRACT Based on a developmental approach, this study intended to analyze the extent to which the different stages of group development differ regarding the use of knowledge management processes. The sample comprised 211 teams belonging to a Portuguese military organization. In order to test the hypotheses a multivariate analysis of variance was conducted. The results showed that more mature and cooperative groups (Restructuring/Realization phase) apply to a greater degree the processes of knowledge management, while groups in which there is high intragroup competition and in which members try to “gain power” among themselves (Reframing phase), apply these processes to a lesser degree.摘要：本研究基于发展性研究范式，旨在探析团队发展不同阶段在知识管理流程（knowledge management processes）应用层面的差异程度。研究样本涵盖211个隶属于葡萄牙某军事组织的团队。为验证研究假设，本研究采用多元方差分析（multivariate analysis of variance）开展检验。结果表明，处于重构/实现阶段（Restructuring/Realization phase）的团队更为成熟且协作性更强，对知识管理流程的应用程度更高；而处于再构建阶段（Reframing phase）的团队存在较高的内部竞争，成员间彼此“争夺权力”，对该类流程的应用程度相对更低。
