CAN YOU SEE ME NOW?

'Can you see me now?' is a flickering pink neon work. It was exhibited as part of the '15 artists' exhibition at Redcliffe Regional Art Gallery. 'Can you see me now?' uses the now familiar art material of the neon to question the visibility of queer artists in art history as well as in art today. The flickering of the work, in a way that indicates that the connections are broken, highlights the almost defunct role of the question. As if it has already been asked and asked...and asked. Lost in the void.
