Evaluating the Impacts of Localized Artificial Enhancement of Sea Ice Albedo over Beaufort Gyre towards Restoring Arctic Sea Ice

This repository contains the data and code used for analysis and visualization in the manuscript by Detelina Ivanova and co-authors, titled “Evaluating the Impacts of Localized Artificial Enhancement of Sea Ice Albedo over the Beaufort Gyre towards Restoring Arctic Sea Ice,” which is submitted for publication (January 2025). The repository includes: Processed climate model output: Data from CESM2 climate simulations conducted for the study by the authors (BG case and future projections of the CONTROL case), as well as data from the NCAR CMIP6 ensemble downloaded from the NCAR ESGF portal (CONTROL case historical simulations). Data formats: The data are stored in NETCDF and CSV formats. Analysis and visualization code: Scripts written in NCAR Command Language (NCL) and Matlab by Detelina Ivanova.
