Trip Purpose Classification

In this repository we have available two different datasets for trip purpose classification, one focused for the binary task - trip_purpose_binary_dataset.csv - and one the multiclass task - trip_purpose_multiclass_dataset.csv -. Understanding the purpose behind each trip is crucial for analyzing travel behavior and patterns. Trip purpose data provides valuable insights into why people travel, whether for work, education, leisure, or other activities. This information is essential for urban planning, transportation policy-making, and improving public transit services. By analyzing trip purposes, we can better predict travel demand, optimize traffic flow, and design more efficient and sustainable transportation systems. This dataset, therefore, serves as a foundational tool for researchers, planners, and policymakers aiming to enhance mobility and quality of life in urban areas. Both the datasets are anonymized, and were collected for research purposes only.本开源仓库提供两款用于出行目的分类任务的数据集，其一针对二元分类任务——"trip_purpose_binary_dataset.csv"，其二针对多分类任务——"trip_purpose_multiclass_dataset.csv"。准确认知单次出行的目的，是分析出行行为与规律的核心前提。出行目的数据可揭示人们出行的底层动因，涵盖工作、求学、休闲及其他各类活动，该信息对于城市规划、交通政策制定以及公共交通服务优化均具有重要价值。通过对出行目的进行分析，能够更精准地预测出行需求、优化交通流量，并设计更具可持续性的高效交通系统。因此，本数据集可为致力于提升城市出行便利性与居民生活品质的研究人员、规划者与政策制定者提供基础性研究支撑工具。两款数据集均已完成匿名化处理，且仅用于科研用途。
