Sarcophagus Relief with Apollo, Minerva and the Muses

This relief shows Apollo, one of the most important Greek deities, the god of the arts, light and knowledge (amongst others). He is depicted in the Lykeios statue type with a kithara and a griffin, standing alongside Athena/Minerva and the nine Muses. The scenes on the lid show an academy-like ambience, and according to the inscription, Ulpia Eutychia dedicated the sarcophagus to her parents.这件浮雕刻画了希腊最重要的神祇之一阿波罗——这位司掌艺术、光明与知识等诸多领域的神明。他以吕克伊俄斯式雕像形制（Lykeios statue type）塑造，怀抱基萨拉琴（kithara），身侧伴以狮鹫（griffin），与雅典娜/密涅瓦（Athena/Minerva）及九位缪斯（Muses）并肩伫立。石棺棺盖之上的场景营造出浓厚的学园氛围，据铭文所载，乌尔皮娅·欧提基亚（Ulpia Eutychia）将此石棺敬献予其双亲。
