Antimicrobial resistant E. coli associated with dairy calves

Our study determined the genotype of antimicrobial resistant E. coli isolated from young calves (< 14 days old). Recto-anal swabs, from 40 dairy calves off four dairy farms, were enriched in modified TSB and were screened for tetracycline, streptomycin, and AmpC producing E. coli.
