Biomarkers of exposure in fish inhabiting the Swan-Canning Estuary, Western Australia - a preliminary study

Black bream (Acanthopagrus butcheri) were collected from seven sites in the Swan-Canning estuary during August and September 2000 to assess containination to the estuary using the biomarkers - the mixed function oxygenase (MFO) enzyme ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase (EROD) activity and PAH bile metabolites.2000年8月至9月，研究人员于天鹅-坎宁河口（Swan-Canning estuary）的7个采样点位采集黑鲷（Acanthopagrus butcheri）样本，旨在通过两种生物标志物（biomarker）——混合功能氧化酶（mixed function oxygenase，MFO）体系中的乙氧基试卤灵-O-脱乙基酶（ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase，EROD）活性，以及多环芳烃（polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon，PAH）胆汁代谢物——对该河口的污染状况进行评估。
