Understanding microbial populations in hospital environments is crucial for improving human health. Hospital-acquired infections are an increasing problem in intensive care units (ICU). In this work we present the exploration of the bacterial diversity in the ICU wards of the University Hospital of A Corunia (Spain) as an example of a confined hospital environment subjected to selective pressure, taking an open and crowded hospital ward as reference: the entrance hall of the hospital.
深入解析医院环境中的微生物群落,对提升人类健康水平具有关键意义。医院获得性感染(hospital-acquired infections)在重症监护病房(ICU)中愈发成为日益严峻的公共卫生挑战。本研究针对西班牙拉科鲁尼亚大学医院(University Hospital of A Corunia)重症监护病房内的细菌多样性开展探究,以此作为受选择压力作用的封闭型医院环境的研究案例,并将开放且人员密集的医院入口大厅作为对照参照。
