Regionalization across the body of the marine sponge Cladocroce caelum

Sponges are acknowledged as lacking any body regionalization or specialization. However, some species apparently grow in organized way, through putative growth regions. In this project, we tested if the existence of this growth region is true or not using the species of tropical marine sponge Cladocroce caelum.

海绵普遍被公认为不具备任何身体区域分化与特化结构。然而，部分物种似乎会通过推定生长区域以有序模式生长。本研究以热带海洋海绵Cladocroce caelum为实验对象，检验了此类生长区域是否真实存在。
