Kelp rafts in the Southern Ocean

Records of observations of kelp rafts passing within 50 m of one side of the vessel over replicated periods of 1 hour. Data collected over subantarctic latitudes only. Records include: size, species, presence/absence of holdfast, latitude and longitude, ship speed.

本数据集收录了在重复1小时观测周期内，经过船舶单侧50米范围内的海带浮筏（kelp rafts）观测记录。所有观测数据仅采集自亚南极纬度区域。记录涵盖以下内容：浮筏尺寸、物种类别、固着器（holdfast）存在与否、经纬度坐标以及船舶航速。
