High-quality litter drives stronger home-field advantage of leaf decomposition in young plantations

we conducted reciprocal transplant experiments across 11 pure plantations in subtropical China, using two different mesh sizes of litterbags (fine- and coarse-mesh) to regulate the absence or presence of mesofauna. This study aimed to reveal how decomposers (soil fauna and microbes) affect HFA and respond to litter quality.

本研究在中国亚热带地区的11处纯人工林开展了相互移植试验，采用细网孔与粗网孔两种不同规格的凋落袋，以调控中型土壤动物的存在与否。本研究旨在揭示分解者（土壤动物与微生物）如何影响HFA（本土场优势，Home-field Advantage），并对凋落物质量做出响应。
