CC-HABITALP: Change-Check of the Habitats of the Alps

Large protected areas in the Alps and especially national parks aim to protect the landscape as a whole, to preserve it, to allow natural processes, to promote succession and to accept natural events or disturbances. This permitting natural processes leads to changes that shape the landscape and are conducive to overarching conservation objectives or other tasks of the protected area. The Interreg IIIB project HABITALP Alpine Habitat Diversity was launched in 2006. In order to create a basis for the comprehensive monitoring of unit areas in the area, the Interreg IIIB project HABITALP Alpine Habitat Diversity was launched. The actual method for reviewing and recording changes was developed in the CC-HABITALP project.
