The three Microcystis aeruginosa strains (M10, M11, M12) used in this study were isolated from Lake Tașaul, Romania (44.35°N 28.61°E) in June 2018. Each strain was adapted to two different temperature conditions, ambient (22°C) and heat-adapted (26°C) for two years. These six M. aeruginosa genomes were then sequenced to determine if adaptation to increased temperature resulted in genetic changes or ‘reversible’ increased plasticity.

本研究所用的3株铜绿微囊藻(Microcystis aeruginosa)菌株M10、M11、M12,于2018年6月从罗马尼亚塔绍尔湖(Lake Tașaul,44.35°N 28.61°E)分离获得。每株菌株均在两种温度条件下完成两年驯化:常温(22℃)与热驯化(26℃)。随后对这6株铜绿微囊藻的基因组进行测序,以明确温度升高驯化是否会引发遗传变化或“可逆性”可塑性提升。
