Genetic modularity and evolution of modifier loci underlie color pattern diversification in the Lake Malawi cichlid fish adaptive radiation

We used RADseq data of a hybrid cross of the horizontally striped Lake Malawi cichlid Pseudotropheus cyaneorhabdos and the vertically barred species Chindongo demasoni to investigate the genetic basis of both color patterns.
