Votive Offerings 3

These terracotta figures were discovered with hundreds of others in a site to the south west of the Mausoleum at Halikarnassos. They were found in an undisturbed deposit, stacked in neat layers according to their type. The figures range in date from about 480 BC to 330 BC; these ones date to the 4th century BC. A stone inscription found on the site records a dedication to Demeter and Persephone and some of the terracotta figures are of types commonly dedicated to those goddesses.这批陶制人像与其他数百件同类遗存一同出土于哈利卡纳苏斯（Halikarnassos）摩索拉斯陵墓西南侧的遗址中。该遗址的堆积层未受扰动，这批人像依照自身形制被整齐堆叠于不同地层内。该遗址出土的陶制人像年代跨度约为公元前480年至公元前330年，本次涉及的这批陶制人像年代为公元前4世纪。遗址中发现的一则石质铭文记载了向得墨忒耳（Demeter）与珀耳塞福涅（Persephone）进行供奉的相关内容，其中部分陶制人像的形制正是专门用于供奉这两位女神的常见样式。
