This dataset assesses the county-level flood control levels (annual return period-based) of China in accordance with the Standard for Flood Control (GB 50201-2014). Developed based on the newly released Standard for Flood Control GB 50201-2014, this policy-based dataset of Chinese flood control levels has undergone data validation and is relatively accurate. Among 171 randomly selected sample counties, the matching rate between this dataset and official design documents reaches 53.2%. The dataset will be openly accessible, and relevant users are encouraged to utilize and improve it. This dataset can provide data support for flood disaster risk assessment and management.
