Metagenomic Evaluation of Viruses in Human Bed Bugs

Cimex lectularius, known as the common bed bug, is a hematophagous human ectoparasite which is not known to be a significant vector of human infectious diseases. The objective was to examine the virome of human bed bugs and bat bugs (Cimex spp.) with a focus on identifying viral reads matching to viral families important for human health.温带臭虫（Cimex lectularius）俗称常见床虱，是一类吸血性人体外寄生虫，目前尚未被认定为人类传染病的重要传播媒介。本研究旨在解析人体床虱与蝙蝠臭虫（臭虫属Cimex spp.）的病毒组（virome），重点识别匹配至与人类健康密切相关病毒科的病毒读段（viral reads）。
