VPRS 12150 Traffic Census Returns (Prahran)

The returns record traffic counts made in the Prahran region during March 1947. The counts were undertaken at half hourly intervals between 6.30 am and 6.30 pm. Sub-totals are recorded for: cars and taxis; light trucks; heavy trucks; buses and coaches; motor cycles; bicycles; and horse-drawn vehicles. Overall totals are also shown. The counters name is recorded on the return.The full extent of the census, and its purpose, has not been researched.
