AIMS - Bioresources Library (OBIS Australia)

Collection of marine organisms for bioactivity screening, focused in the shallow waters off the coastlines of Queensland and Western Australia, beginning in 1987 and continuing to the present. Small collections have been made in all other Australian States, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Philippines and Antarctica waters. Collection procedures are designed to maximise taxonomic/chemical diversity ie this is not a biodiversity survey. Additional information available will generally include images, abundance and micro environmental variables.

本数据集为面向生物活性筛选的海洋生物样本集，采集区域聚焦于昆士兰州与西澳大利亚州沿岸浅海水域，采集工作自1987年启动并持续至今。
此外，项目团队还在澳大利亚其余各州、新西兰、巴布亚新几内亚、泰国、菲律宾及南极海域开展了少量样本采集。
本次采集流程的设计初衷为最大化分类学与化学多样性，换言之，本数据集并非常规生物多样性调查类样本集。
可获取的配套附加信息通常包含样本图像、物种丰度数据及微环境变量。
