MEMORIES OF AN ACADEMIC PATH: A SEMIOTIC ANALYSIS OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE ENUNCIATION ACTOR’S IN ACADEMIC MEMORIALS

ABSTRACT The academic memorial seems to be a privileged object to examine simulacra and values related to the ways of acting in the Brazilian academic environment. When writing it, the researcher-professor re-elaborates on his professional and intellectual path in order to meet an institutional requirement, since a lot of open examinations for the post of university professor in Brazil request the writing of an academic memorial. Taking this into consideration, this work aims to analyze the image produced by the candidate-enunciator in his memorials, based on the proposals developed by Discini (2003, 2015) and Fiorin (2004, 2015), in order to focus on the enunciation actor in the context of Greimasian-based semiotics. Academic memorials from different areas and colleges at the University of São Paulo are compared, making it possible to verify their differences and similarities in the use of textual and discourse procedures in the construction of the enunciation actor. As a result, we perceive the image of a bold, innovative, competitive and cooperative researcher-professor in academic memorials in the Biological Sciences and the image of a critical, creative and slightly nonconformist researcher-professor in academic memorials in the Human Sciences.摘要 学术自传（academic memorial）堪称探究巴西学术环境中行为范式相关拟像与价值观的理想研究对象。撰写该材料时，研究者-教授需重新梳理自身的职业与学术历程，以满足机构聘任要求——巴西诸多大学教授岗位的公开竞聘均要求提交学术自传。有鉴于此，本研究基于Discini（2003、2015）与Fiorin（2004、2015）提出的理论框架，旨在分析竞聘者-言说者在其学术自传中塑造的形象，聚焦于格雷马斯符号学框架下的言说主体语境。本研究比对了圣保罗大学（University of São Paulo）不同学科与院系的学术自传，得以验证其在构建言说主体时所采用的文本与话语策略的异同。研究结果显示，生物科学领域的学术自传塑造出大胆创新、兼具竞争力与合作精神的研究者-教授形象；而人文科学领域的学术自传则塑造出批判性突出、富有创造力且略带反叛精神的研究者-教授形象。
