In order to improve our understanding of the calibration curves which are underlying any radiocarbon dating of carbon-containing material over the last 55 kyr we performed simulations with the 2 Earth system model of intermediate complexity (EMICs) LOVECLIM and Bern3D, which have then been compared with other models and data. The simulation results focus on marine surface reservoir age, but deep ocean ages are also included. Furthermore, global mean sea surface temperature and the strength of the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation are also included in the simulated time series. Results contain time series and surface plot for the time windows 02, 16 and 20 kyr BP.
为深化对过去5.5万年以来含碳物质放射性碳定年所依托的校准曲线的认知,我们采用两款中等复杂度地球系统模型(Earth System Models of Intermediate Complexity,EMICs)LOVECLIM与Bern3D开展了模拟实验,并将模拟结果与其他模型及观测数据进行了对比。模拟结果聚焦于海洋表层储层年龄,同时也涵盖了深海储层年龄。此外,模拟时间序列中还包含全球平均海表温度与大西洋经向翻转环流的强度。本数据集包含对应距今2、16及20千年BP的时间序列与曲面绘图结果。
