Biodiversity comparison between fallow crop fields and natural veld: The process of natural recovery assessed through DNA barcoding

Assessment of biodiversity change between old crop fields and the surrounding natural habitat using metabarcoding methods. Microbiome diversity was assessed through 16S rRNA gene high-throughput sequencing, while arthropod diversity was assessed via COI metabarcoding of environmental soil samples and bulk invertebrate samples.

本数据集采用元条形码（metabarcoding）技术，对旧农田与周边自然栖息地之间的生物多样性变化进行评估。其中，微生物组多样性通过16S rRNA基因（16S rRNA gene）高通量测序开展分析，节肢动物多样性则通过对环境土壤样本及批量无脊椎动物样本进行COI（Cytochrome C Oxidase subunit I）元条形码分析完成评估。
