We selected several bacterial genera for which the relative abundance was altered in response to TBT-Cl exposure in Experiment 1, and of which we had culturable bacterial isolates from zebrafish intestines. We exposed conventionally-raised zebrafish raised to suspensions containing one of these bacterial strains for 14 days. Each bacterial treatment had three tank replicates. We sampled five guts as well as 150 ml of rearing water per tank at the end of the bacterial exposure.
