APOE genotype and health data for Turkana and Orang Asli
This project contains datasets related to: Divergent Biological Consequences of APOE Isoforms Across Industrialized and Non-Industrial Environments Marina M. Watowich, Rachel M. Petersen, Layla Brassington, Audrey M. Arner, Grace Rodenberg, Tan Bee Ting A/P Tan Boon Huat, Kar Lye Tam, Em Schellenberg, Izandis bin Mohd Sayed, Echwa John, John C. Kahumbu, Benjamin Muhoya, Michael Gurven, Benjamin C. Trumble, Sospeter Ngoci Njeru, Dino Martins, Julien Ayroles, Yvonne A. L. Lim, Vivek V. Venkataraman, Ian J. Wallace, Thomas S. Kraft, Amanda J. Lea Specifically, the data provided here are: 1) Turkana data file - De-identified genotype, lifestyle, and biological data for Turkana study participants. 2) Orang Asli data file - De-identified genotype, lifestyle, and biological data for Orang Asli study participants. The GitHub code used to analyze these data can be found here: https://github.com/mwatowich/effects_of_APOE_across_industrialization_gradient These data were collected by the Turkana Health and Genomics Project (THGP) and the Orang Asli Health and Lifeways Project (OA HeLP). Both projects adhere to the “CARE Principles for Indigenous Data Governance” (Collective Benefit, Authority to Control, Responsibility, and Ethics) and are committed to the “FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship” (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). To adhere to these principles while minimizing risks, individual-level data are stored under restricted access. The data can be accessed as follows: Requests for de-identified, individual-level data should take the form of an application that details the exact uses of the data and the research questions to be addressed, procedures that will be employed for data security and individual privacy, potential benefits to the study communities, and procedures for assessing and minimizing stigmatizing interpretations of the research results. Requests for de-identified, individual-level data will require a data use agreement (available at lea-lab.org/resources) and may require institutional IRB approval. 本项目包含与以下主题相关的数据集: 工业化与非工业化环境下载脂蛋白E(apolipoprotein E, APOE)异构体的差异化生物学效应 作者列表: Marina M. Watowich、Rachel M. Petersen、Layla Brassington、Audrey M. Arner、Grace Rodenberg、Tan Bee Ting A/P Tan Boon Huat、Kar Lye Tam、Em Schellenberg、Izandis bin Mohd Sayed、Echwa John、John C. Kahumbu、Benjamin Muhoya、Michael Gurven、Benjamin C. Trumble、Sospeter Ngoci Njeru、Dino Martins、Julien Ayroles、Yvonne A. L. Lim、Vivek V. Venkataraman、Ian J. Wallace、Thomas S. Kraft、Amanda J. Lea 本项目所提供的具体数据如下: 1) 图尔卡纳数据集文件——针对图尔卡纳研究参与者的去标识化基因型、生活方式及生物学数据。 如有任何疑问,请联系amanda.j.lea@vanderbilt.edu。
