The 2010-2012 implementation plan of the European Sustainable Nuclear Industrial Initiative (ESNII), in the frame of the Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform (SNE TP), establishes a very tight time schedule for the start of construction of the European Gen IV prototypes; namely the construction of the LFR ETPP (European Technology Pilot Plant) Myrrha will start in 2014 and that of the SFR Prototype ASTRID will start in 2017. The GEN IV reactors pose new challenges to the designers and scientists in terms of higher operating temperature and higher irradiation damage of materials with respect to the present technologies. In this frame, the MATTER (MATerials TEsting and Rules) Project intends to start well targeted researches to perform careful studies of materials behaviors in GEN IV operational conditions and to find out criteria for the correct use of these materials in relevant reactor applications. In that context, the JRC has carried out different tests (LCF, Creep, Small Punch Creep, Small Punch Tensile/Fracture) tests on P91 and 316. The activities were carried out in the frame of the MATTER project (Grant agreement no: 269706).

在可持续核能技术平台(Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform, SNE TP)的框架下,《欧洲可持续核工业倡议(European Sustainable Nuclear Industrial Initiative, ESNII)2010-2012年实施计划》为欧洲第四代(Gen IV)原型堆的开工建设设定了极为紧凑的时间进度安排:铅冷快堆(Lead-cooled Fast Reactor, LFR)欧洲技术试验工厂(European Technology Pilot Plant, ETPP)“米尔哈”(Myrrha)的建造工程将于2014年启动,钠冷快堆(Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor, SFR)原型堆ASTRID则将于2017年动工。相较于当前的反应堆技术,第四代反应堆运行温度更高、材料辐照损伤更为显著,这给设计者与科研人员带来了全新的挑战。在此背景下,材料测试与规范(MATerials TEsting and Rules, MATTER)项目计划开展针对性研究,以系统探究材料在第四代反应堆运行工况下的行为特性,并确立此类材料在相关反应堆应用中的合理使用准则。在此框架下,欧盟联合研究中心(Joint Research Centre, JRC)针对P91钢与316不锈钢开展了多项试验,涵盖低周疲劳(Low Cycle Fatigue, LCF)、蠕变、小冲杆蠕变以及小冲杆拉伸/断裂试验。相关研究活动均在材料测试与规范(MATTER)项目框架下完成,资助协议编号为269706。
