This dataset consists of 175 host seeking Ixodes scapularis nymphs sequenced with a multiplex PCR amplicon sequencing assay (MPAS). All tick specimens were morphologically identified. This dataset was used to validate a custom bioinformatics pipeline used to analyze MPAS sequences. The assay contained primers targeting the four genera associated with Ixodes transmitted human pathogens: Borrelia spp., Babesia spp., Anaplasma spp., and Ehrlichia spp.

本数据集包含175只宿主搜寻型肩突硬蜱(Ixodes scapularis)若虫,采用多重PCR扩增子测序检测(multiplex PCR amplicon sequencing assay, MPAS)完成测序。所有蜱虫标本均经形态学鉴定。本数据集用于验证一款用于分析MPAS序列的定制化生物信息学分析流程。该检测所用引物靶向与硬蜱传播人类病原体相关的四个菌属:疏螺旋体属(Borrelia spp.)、巴贝斯虫属(Babesia spp.)、无形体属(Anaplasma spp.)以及埃里希体属(Ehrlichia spp.)
