Comprehensive dataset of operational and embodied energy from multiple dwellings located in warm climates at latitude 0°, spanning four different decades.

This repository contains information of EE and OE of 54 houses located in the Costa region of Ecuador, spanning four different periods of construction (P1 1980 – 1990; P2 1990 - 2000; P3 2000 - 2010 and P4 2010 – 2020) and spread along the cities of Guayaquil, Portoviejo and Machala. The repository is organized into three main directories: Baseline Information, Embodied Energy Data, and Operational Energy Data.
First, the Baseline Information (01_BI) contains all the first-hand meadured samples related information compiled in four Excel files (.xlsx) and one Energy Plus Weather file (.EPW). First, the file named 01_Samples_Attributes.xlsx which contains intrinsic and measured morphological characteristics for each one of the 54 houses studied. Second, a bill of materials with their quantities collected in-situ and units is included in the file named 02_BoM.xlsx. Third, the file 03_Space_Usage.xlsx presents the intensity of occupancy (m2) and the schedule (h) for Activity & Cooling, Lighting and Electrical Appliances usage in each one of the common spaces during weekdays and weekends. The updated climate file 04_Climate_Data.EPW which was used in the simulation processes in Design Builder Software. Lastly, the directory presents the indoor air temperature data collected in situ of four representative houses used for valitation, each corresponding to a different study period. This information is compiled in the file 05_Temperature_Measures.xlsx.
In second place, for the regard of Embodied Energy Data the corresponding folder’s name is “02_EE”, this directory presents six excel files (.xlsx) related to the EE of the 54 samples in the four periods categorized by component, element and materials. The first file is the 01_EE_Values.xlsx and contains the information related to the SW and EE obtained from bibliography of 21 materials of relevant use in the zone. second, a summary of the Specific Total Embodied Energy (STEE) calculations for all 54 houses included in the study under the name 02_STEE_Summary.xlsx. In addition, four similarly structured excel files, each corresponding to one study period and named as: 03_P1_EE.xlsx, 04_P2_EE.xlsx, 05_P3_EE.xlsx, and 06_P4_EE.xlsx. Each file compiles the detailed STEE data at the household level, where individual sheets are dedicated to each sample. These sheets are labeled according to the respective period and house identifier (e.g., P1-H1, P1-H2).
Lastly, the directory named “03_OE” contains the information related to Domestic Hot Water plus Cooking (d + c), Lighting and Electrical Appliances (l + e) and Space Cooling (sc) of each sample house. The OE directory is structured into two subdirectories containing Design Builder files .dsb: 01_OE_Validations and 02_OE_Simulations. Morever, two excel files. The first is a summary of the validation process 03_Validation.xlsx and the other for the summary of the OE calculated across all samples 04_STOE_Summary.xlsx.

首先是基础信息目录（01_BI），包含所有与实测一手样本相关的信息，整理为4个Excel文件（.xlsx）与1个Energy Plus天气文件（.EPW）。其一，文件"01_Samples_Attributes.xlsx"收录了本次研究中54栋住宅各自的固有形态特征与实测参数。其二，文件"02_BoM.xlsx"包含现场采集的物料清单及其用量与单位信息。其三，文件"03_Space_Usage.xlsx"展示了工作日与周末期间，公共空间内活动与制冷、照明及家电使用的占用强度（单位：m²）与使用时段（单位：h）。其四，本次仿真模拟所用的更新版气候文件"04_Climate_Data.EPW"，该文件基于Design Builder软件生成。最后，该目录还包含用于验证的4栋代表性住宅的室内空气温度实测数据，每栋分别对应一个研究时段，相关信息整理于文件"05_Temperature_Measures.xlsx"中。

其次是隐含能耗数据目录，其文件夹名为"02_EE"，该目录包含6个Excel文件（.xlsx），对应四类建造时段的54个样本住宅按构件、部件与材料分类的隐含能耗数据。第一个文件为"01_EE_Values.xlsx"，收录了该地区常用的21种材料的单位重量隐含能耗（SW）与总隐含能耗（EE）相关文献数据。第二个文件为"02_STEE_Summary.xlsx"，汇总了本次研究中全部54栋住宅的单位总隐含能耗（Specific Total Embodied Energy, STEE）计算结果。此外还有4个结构一致的Excel文件，分别对应一个研究时段，命名为"03_P1_EE.xlsx"、"04_P2_EE.xlsx"、"05_P3_EE.xlsx"与"06_P4_EE.xlsx"。每个文件均整理了单栋住宅的详细单位总隐含能耗数据，各工作表分别对应一个样本，以对应时段与住宅编号命名（例如P1-H1、P1-H2）。

最后是运行能耗数据目录，其文件夹名为"03_OE"，收录了各样本住宅的生活热水与烹饪能耗（d+c）、照明及家电能耗（l+e）与空间制冷能耗（sc）相关信息。该目录下设两个子目录，均包含Design Builder格式文件（.dsb）："01_OE_Validations"与"02_OE_Simulations"。此外还有两个Excel文件：其一为验证过程汇总文件"03_Validation.xlsx"，其二为全部样本运行能耗计算结果汇总文件"04_STOE_Summary.xlsx"。
