BIOL3250 Field Experiment: Comparing Vegetation Composition in a High Disturbance vs Low Disturbance area

This data was collected to compare species composition in two different disturbed envrironments- one with low traffic, the other with high traffic. The experiment aims to determine if a high-traffic disturbed area has more non-native species than a low-traffic one. We also aim to determine if one area has a higher species diversity than the other. Plants were identified using iNaturalist and Newcomb's Wildflower Guide. Randomization was used to select transect areas and quadrats. All data was collected in Biigtigong Nishnaabeg, ON and Pukaskwa National Park.本数据集旨在对比两种不同受干扰环境中的物种组成——分别为低流量干扰环境与高流量干扰环境。本实验旨在探究高流量干扰区域的外来物种数量是否高于低流量干扰区域，同时亦旨在比较两处区域的物种多样性孰高孰低。植物物种鉴定依托iNaturalist（iNaturalist）平台与《纽科姆野花图鉴》（Newcomb's Wildflower Guide）完成。研究采用随机抽样方法选取样带区域与样方。所有数据采集工作均在安大略省比蒂贡尼什纳比格（Biigtigong Nishnaabeg）与帕卡斯夸国家公园（Pukaskwa National Park）开展。
