Colour preference in macroinvertebrates pantrap experiment

The area of study is a grass field on the York University campus. Three colours of pan traps were used; white, blue and yellow. The pan traps were placed in 3 rows of 12 in alternating colours, yielding a replication factor of 12 for each colour. In each of the 3 rows the pan traps will be placed approximately 70cm apart from each other, and the 3 rows will be approximately 1m apart from each other and approximately 7m long in length. Once the pan traps were placed in the field they were then filled half way with soapy water. The pan traps left out for 2 hours in the grass field. Upon the 2 hour mark, all macro-invertebrates found in the bowls were counted and recorded.
