Underwater images of Mayotte reefs, Aéroport International, colony 12 Porites lutea, Future Maore Reefs (FMR)

This dataset is the result of a fieldwork conducted at Mayotte island, over-sea French territory. Mayotte is part of the Comoros archipelago located northward in the Mozambique Channel, western Indian Ocean (WIO). Five well-developed coral reef ecosystems (Aéroport International, Île Blanche, Jolly Roger, N'Gouja, Surprise) representing fringing (F) and inner patch reefs (IPR) within 2-8m depth were sampled during ten field trips between october 2021 and september 2025.本数据集源自法国海外领地马约特岛的野外调查成果。马约特岛地处西印度洋（western Indian Ocean，缩写WIO）莫桑比克海峡北部，为科摩罗群岛的组成部分。本次研究于2021年10月至2025年9月期间开展十次野外考察，对5处发育完好的珊瑚礁生态系统完成采样：包括国际机场礁（Aéroport International）、布兰奇岛礁（Île Blanche）、乔利罗杰礁（Jolly Roger）、恩古贾礁（N'Gouja）与惊喜礁（Surprise），上述采样点涵盖水深2至8米范围内的岸礁（fringing reef，缩写F）与内部斑块礁（inner patch reefs，缩写IPR）两种类型。
