Genomes of four Streptomyces isolates from potato crops in Colombia. Streptomyces sp.

In Colombia, there is limited information about Streptomyces species present in potato crops. In this study, we present the genomes of four Streptomyces species, including potential two new species and two pathogenic organisms. The species were taxonomically classified based on genomic data. Putative biosynthetic gene clusters associated with the synthesis of secondary metabolites were also identified in the four genomes. In addition, genes encoding potential virulence factors in the pathogenic organisms were described.

在哥伦比亚，关于马铃薯作物中存在的链霉菌（Streptomyces）物种的相关信息十分有限。本研究公开了四株链霉菌的基因组序列，其中包含两株潜在新物种与两株致病菌株。上述物种均基于基因组数据完成了分类学鉴定。本研究还在这四个基因组中鉴定出了与次级代谢产物合成相关的推定生物合成基因簇（biosynthetic gene cluster）；此外，还对致病菌株中编码潜在毒力因子的基因进行了描述。
